Festival of Torroella de Montgrí

The Torroella de Montgrí Festival is one of the most traditional festivals on the Costa Brava, organized by the Musical Youth of Torroella de Montgrí, remains true to its line, offers the best classical music performers here and abroad, gives opportunities to young promises, following the spirit of the musical youth, and recovering the forgotten musical heritage, always in the field of classical music, from medieval music to the current one.

The Torroella de Montgrí Festival began in 1981 with a series of few concerts that were held in the medieval architectural framework of the old town, the Gothic church of Sant Genís, Gothic-Renaissance porticoed square and the old Convent dels Agustins, from the end of the century XVII. Up to 2018 there have been 38 editions and a total of 882 concerts with attendance of more than 424,500 spectators.

The 2019 edition returns from 02 to 22 August.

Jazz L'Estartit Festival

The Jazz Festival Estartit wants to be the reference jazz festival of the Costa Brava. With this purpose, it is now in its sixth edition. The festival, which will take place from July 18 to 21, gives wings to jazz offering a unique experience in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea.

Another great novelty is that this year the festival will concentrate its jazz programming in four days from Thursday 18 to Sunday 21 of July; unlike the previous editions when the festival lasted throughout the month of July only during the weekends. Thus, the concerts and sessions of Dj'sy-jams will begin in the afternoon and will last until late in the morning. Each day, the entrance will allow you to enjoy the triple session of scheduled concerts.

The 2019 edition is celebrated from July 25 to 28.

The Fringe Festival musical talent emerging

The Fringe Festival turns Torroella de Montgrí into the capital of emerging musical talent. This year, from July 18 to 21, and coinciding with the celebration of its sixth edition, the municipality of Baix Empordà will once again welcome young musicians from some of the best conservatories and top music schools in Europe.

It is about the Fringe Festival, organized by the Musical Youth of Torroella. The event will offer performances of varied musical styles: from classical music to pop-rock, to contemporary music, jazz, blues, folk and fusion music.

The 2019 edition is celebrated from July 18 to 21.
