Fira d'Indians in Begur

Fira d'Indians celebrate the close relationship between Cuba and Begur, since many "begurencs" who made their fortune on the island in the nineteenth century, as they return to their hometown, built ostentatious houses recreating the Indian architecture, and brought some of their lifestyle. They were popularly known as "The Indians" or "The American", and they provided a rich and diverse cultural legacy in Catalonia.

During three days, from 8th to 10th September, Begur offers a wide range of leisure and cultural offer to relive this historic period, through musical performances, food fairs, parades with period costumes, and many more activities, you can check them at
