Discover Tamariu
Tamariu, on the Costa Brava in Girona, is a small fishing village within the municipality of Palafrugell, known for its peaceful atmosphere and close connection to the sea. Right by the beach, the former fishermen’s quarter and the seafront promenade preserve the area’s Mediterranean essence, with a carefully selected range of seaside restaurants.
The natural surroundings of Tamariu stand out for their coves and beaches with clear waters, including the nearby Cala Aigua Xelida, ideal for swimming, snorkelling or relaxing in a lightly developed setting. The area is also perfect for activities such as kayaking, paddle boarding or boat trips, allowing visitors to discover sea caves and hidden coves along the coast.
Tamariu forms part of the Costa Brava coastal path, with a particularly attractive stretch that connects with Llafranc and continues on to Calella de Palafrugell, offering open views over the Mediterranean. The village also features hotels right by the beach.
