Peratallada
Peratallada, in the Baix Empordà and just a short distance from Pals and the beaches of the Costa Brava, is one of the most charming medieval villages in Catalonia. Part of the municipality of Forallac, it preserves a beautifully maintained historic centre, with cobbled streets, ancient walls and defensive structures that reflect its past.
Walking through Peratallada means discovering the essence of the most authentic Empordà. The village stands out for its peaceful atmosphere, local cuisine and a carefully selected range of charming restaurants and artisan shops, where traditional specialities such as artisan ice creams and the famous Cal Tuset muffins truly stand out.
Surrounded by fields and other medieval villages such as Ullastret and Palau-sator, Peratallada is an ideal destination for a weekend getaway or a rural stay, where history, landscape and tranquillity come together in one of the most picturesque corners of the Empordà.
