Garoinada: the gastronomic festival of Palafrugell
It’s already time for La Garoinada, one of the most important winter gastronomic campaigns in Catalonia! This culinary event is held every winter in Palafrugell with the aim of promoting the sea urchin, one of the most highly prized products of the Costa Brava.
Since its first edition in 1992, La Garoinada has turned Palafrugell into a true gastronomic route, with several local restaurants taking part and offering a wide variety of dishes where the garoina takes centre stage, along with other typical local delicacies such as rice.
This year, La Garoinada takes place from January 16 to March 29, with the participation of around fifteen restaurants and hotels in Palafrugell, Llafranc, Calella and Tamariu.
